Triads of Overlapping Inversions in Drosophila robusta

Abstract
All 3 members of a triad of overlapping inversions are often common in populations of this sp. Absence of one inversion of a triad is often attributable to geographic or ecological factors. The authors believe, therefore, that D. robusta is exceptional to the hypothesis that triads of overlapping inversions should not coexist because of difficulties in coadapta-tion between pairs of them.
