Abstract
A simple technique is described which allows production of Formvar replicas from ruled areas on a glass matrix. These transparent replicas, when dried on cover slips are very useful tools for orientation and counting in slide cultures. Two types of matrices have been developed. Type 1 is ruled similar to the grid system of the Thoma counting chamber for blood cells. The ruled area of type II consists of ten thousand 60-[mu] squares, each numbered by 4 figures. Applications are mentioned.
