Organism of Yeast-Spot Disease Isolated from Rice Damaged by Rice Stink Bug12

Abstract
Microbiological examination of rice damaged by the rice stink bug, Oebalus pugnax, revealed the presence of the yeast Nematospora coryli, which causes yeast-spot disease of beans. Transmission is primarily through the feeding of stink bugs. This is the 1st report of the disease in rice.
