On the Influence of Temperature on the Process of Mutation, with Reference to Goldschmidt's Data

Abstract
In 2 series of experiments, exposure for 12 hrs. of larvae of Drosophila melanogaster to 37[degree] at 5-6 days old gave increased sterility in the progeny, but no increase in the mutation rate. This is a failure to confirm the results claimed by Goldschmidt (1929).
