Population Distributions in Charge Exchange. I. Proton Capture Cross Sections for Levelsn=1Throughn=15

Abstract

The charge-exchange capture cross sections are calculated for captures into all states of the hydrogen atom for levels through $n=15\mathrm{}$ using the Brinkman-Kramers matrix element. These expressions are sufficiently general to simulate captures from all the elements, assuming only one electron is active.
