Abstract
Preliminary results of a measurement of the angular distribution of 1.08A neutrons scattered by liquid helium at 4.2°K over the angular range 3.8° to 31° are reported. A maximum in the scattering occurs at 21.3°±1°, corresponding to a peak at 3.6A in the radial distribution of density about any atom in the liquid. Keywords
