Effect of degeneracy in the Hubbard model

Abstract
A doubly degenerate Hubbard model is studied, and the possibility is emphasized for two sublattices to form, each with predominantly one of the orbital states. This can describe the Eg band of some transitional metal disulphides.Keywords
