Abstract
Proton and fluorine magnetic resonance of heptafluorobutyric acid in water have been measured and used to estimate a dissociation constant of 1.1. The effects of electrolytic dissociation below a mole fraction 0.5 and of dimerization and hydration above 0.5 are similar to those found for trifluoroacetic acid. Keywords
