Abstract
Vibrio alginolyticus was isolated in 56% of cultures taken from 36 infected superficial wounds contaminated by sea water. It is suggested that this microorganism could be more significant clinically than is generally appreciated, but is being overlooked because of inappropriate culture techniques. Keywords
