Spin Correlations inp¯p→Λ¯Λat 2.19 GeV/c

Abstract
Large spin correlations between and hyperons have been observed in the reaction , and they are very similar to the ones obtained by Badier et al. at 2.5 GeV/c. The correlation along the hyperon flight direction in the c.m. system is found to be -0.96±0.44, which suggests that the hyperons are strongly in the spin triplet state. We have made an analysis of the differential cross section and spin correlations in terms of the model. The result appears to be very encouraging.
