Space-Group Selection Rules for Magnetic Crystals

Abstract
The theory of selection rules for phonon processes in crystals belonging to an ordinary (Fedorov) space group is extended to crystals belonging to one of the magnetic (Shubnikov) space groups. An example is given for MnF2 which belongs to P42'/mnm' and for which the irreducible corepresentations (“coreps”) were determined by Dimmock and Wheeler.
