Endocytosis by Lymphocytes of Complexes of Anti-Ig with Membrane-Bound Ig

Abstract
Spleen lymphocytes that were incubated at low temperatures with fluorescent or 125I-labeled anti-Ig showed Ig molecules throughout the membrane as evidenced by immunofluorescence or electron microscopic autoradiographs. Incubation of these lymphocytes at 37°C resulted in the rapid endocytosis of the membrane anti-Ig-Ig complex.
