Hyperfine Structure and Nuclear Moments of the Stable Bromine Isotopes

Abstract
The hyperfine structure of the P322 state of atomic Br79 and Br81 has been investigated by the atomic-beam, magnetic-resonance method. The following values have been obtained for the nuclear magnetic dipole interaction constant, a, and the nuclear electric quadrupole interaction constant, b: a79=884.810±0.003 Mc/sec, a81=953.770±0.003 Mc/sec, b79=384.878±0.008 Mc/sec, b81=321.516±0.008 Mc/sec.
