A culture filtrate from the human type Mycobacterium tuberculosis E-9656 was sent through a chromatographic column of DEAE. Electrophoresis and tests for antigenic composition by the Ouchterlony method and immunoelectrophoresis showed that some separation was obtained within the 9 fractions tested. However tuberculin type skin reactivity was retained in all except perhaps 2 fractions.
