THE INFLUENCE OF "FOLIC ACID" ON SPONTANEOUS BREAST CANCERS IN MICE

Abstract
60 mice bearing single spontaneous breast cancers received daily intraven. injs. of 5 [mu]gm. Lactobacillus casei factor for 4-6 wks. 60 cancerous control mice received no injs. 29 cancerous mice received 5 [mu]gm. L. casei factor but without "matched" controls. In the treated mice, 38 among 89 tumors disappeared. In the control mice the tumors persisted. 14 controls compared with 1 treated mouse developed new tumors. Observations extended from 2-10 mos.
