Abstract
Quantitative infrared absorption measurements on unpressurized CO have been carried out for the first overtone in cells of different lengths and at different pressures of gas. The experimental data lead to a value for the integrated absorption of the first overtone of CO of 1.69 cm−2 atmos−1, which is in excellent agreement with results obtained previously from the study of mixtures of CO pressurized with infrared inert gases.Keywords
