Abstract
This is an account of the history and distribution of Sclerotinia geranii, type of the genus Seaverinia. It is the first sp. in which a definite connection was proven between a Botrytis and a Sclerotinia, although such a connection was claimed by some of the early mycologists, and is the only Botrytis known which has rough spores. The name Botrytis geranii is assigned to the conidial stage of the ascomycete.
