PHOTOGRAPHIC NATURE OF TANNING OF THE HUMAN SKIN AS SHOWN BY STUDIES OF MALE HORMONE THERAPY

Abstract

Studies on 3 castrated and 4 hypogonadal [male][male] showed that the typical pasty, sallow color was lost and that tanning occurred after adm. of [male] hormone. Part of this was due to development of pigment in previously exposed skin: tanning occurred after adm. in areas which had been exposed up to 5 mos. previously but not thereafter.
