Abstract
A unidirectional filter for CAPD fluid was tested in a population of CAPD patients at one center, to determine its effectiveness in reducing peritonitis. Incidence of peritonitis was compared in four groups of patients: 1. High -risk patients who chose to use the filter. 2. Same patients, before filter use. 3. Overall population of the center before March, 1981 (introduction of filter for high-risk patients). 4. Overall population after filter introduction. Keywords
