Total Cross Sections of Nuclei for 42-Mev Neutrons

Abstract

Total cross sections of 33 elements for 42-Mev neutrons have been measured using the 184-inch cyclotron as a source of neutrons and the ${\mathrm{C}}^{12}\mathrm{}(n,2n)\mathrm{}{\mathrm{C}}^{11}$ reaction as a detector. Experimental details are described and the results are compared with those measured at other energies.
