SummaryGreece's accession to the EC has hardly affected her agricultural sector. The agricultural trade balance, however, has deteriorated and potential exporting sectors appear not to penetrate into the EC market. The transfer of resources of the Integrated Mediterranean Programmes has been moulded according to Greece's own development priorities with less emphasis on the agricultural sector. A ‘new’ CAP should provide more protection for Greece's agricultural exports against non-EC competitors and direct more funds towards the adjustment of the Greek agricultural product mix.
