Abstract
The digestion of purified thyrotropic hormone with papain results in biologically active, dialyzable material which is not precipitated by a final concn. of 20% trichloracetic acid. A purification procedure for thyrotropic hormone is given. The hormone is free of ACTH, FSH, ICSH, growth hormone and lactogenic hormone at the 1 mg. level in the hypophysectomized rat. Keywords
