Abstract
Amino acid incorporation by isolated liver mitochondria had been found to be an energy-dependent oligomycin-insensitive process. This finding is consistent with the discovery that thyroxine and certain of its analogues increase the rate of amino acid incorporation although they inhibit the terminal steps of the phosphorylatlon process.Keywords
