Abstract
Sterilization of adult mice by x-ray destruc-tion of the ovarian follicles did not significantly affect the periodicity of oestrus. The discrepancy between this result and that seen by other workers after surgical removal of corpora lutea in cows and guinea-pigs is explained by the absence of any marked luteal phase in the cycle of the mouse. Keywords
