Collimator Efficiency and Design I. Collimator Efficiency

Abstract
Factors influencing the response of a collimator for radioactive isotope scanning are defined and analyzed. Penetration of radiation through the collimator and its more complicated effects have been evaluated by the use of a digital computer. Experimental work has been carried out to assess the accuracy of the results concerning minimum collimator length and septa thicknesses required for a wide range of photon energies.
