A new apparatus for detection of impending pacemaker failure in patients treated with implanted pacemakers

Abstract
Technical description of a device intended for prophylactic checking of implanted capacitor discharge pacemakers is given. Rate, leading edge amplitude, impulse duration, and time constant are displayed in digital form. The apparatus can be used to investigate pacing failure as well as basic property of a pacemaker which has not been implanted.
