Abstract
The extract emmenin from the human placenta, given orally, produces premature estrus in rats with no effect on the ovary; males and castrates are not affected. A second placenta principle, injected, causes premature estrus and growth of ovaries; in [male][male], accessory genital organs are enlarged. Given simultaneously, the 2 cause hypertrophy and luteinization in the ovaries with cessation of estrus. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
