Abstract
This paper develops a general block-diagram representation of the synchronous generator when applied to voltage-regulating system studies. This representation, which is suited particularly to analogue-type computation, includes saturation effects, variable-speed operation, variable-load power factor, and also the effects of saliency and damper circuits. Keywords
