Abstract
For the production of murine exptl. disseminated encephalo-myelitis by means of injn. of homologous brain tissue plus adjuvant of the Freund type, the stock of albino mice employed must be selected for susceptibility since certain stocks, even through deriving from closely related lines, were found to be resistant. It was also shown that in about 20% of the reactors, lesions characteristic of the exptl. affection were noted in the CNS in the absence of any demonstrable symptom of illness. It is therefore necessary for a diagnosis to examine the CNS of apparently normal-looking animals. Keywords
