Scattered radiation in a water phantom irradiated by roentgen photons between 50 and 250 keV

Abstract
Experimentally determined spectra of scattered radiation within an irradiated water phantom have been treated numerically.. The angular components of the photon and dose build-up were calculated for primary photons below 250 keV. The spectral distribution of primary and secondary 250 kV radiation were calculated. Good agreement with depth dose tables was obtained. Energy absorption calculations were made for the spectra of the total 250 kV radiation.
