Regression Sampling with Allometrically Related Variables, with Particular Reference to Production Studies

Abstract
An unbiased estimate and an approximate confidence interval of the expected value of an allometrically related variable is derived. The degree of success of the approximation to the confidence interval is measured against a Monte Carlo simulation. The method is applied to the girth-weight relation of a tree and to the estimation of the total dry weight and the production of a stand of trees.
