Abstract
All but two of a series of 107 chronic female schizophrenics, with a duration of at least ten years, were found to be classifiable according to the Kleist-Leonhard scheme of classification of schizophrenia. The distribution of these cases among the various subforms is given. Illustrative case histories of the different subforms are given. The possible pathoplastic factors in some groups of schizophrenia are discussed. The value of the scheme for further research into the causation of schizophrenia is discussed.
