Abstract
We present here explicit analytic results for the inversion of the longitudinal dielectric function of an infinite periodic superlattice of identical plane sheets of mobile electrons. The results are expressed in terms of the dynamic nonlocal two-dimensional polarizability of a single sheet of electrons. The inverse dielectric function developed here for a periodic superlattice is also extended to incorporate the role of optical phonons of the background host material. Keywords
