Abstract
The diffuse spread of lymph, hitherto unrecognized in extnet and concentration, has been measured and illustrated. The supraglottic larynx is related to the superior cervical nodes primarily with a diminishing level of significance as the mediastinal channels are approached. The subglottic larynx primarily involves the subclavian and paratracheal nodes with minor connections in the superior cervical glands. Bilateral lesions from the dispersion of a unilateral injection terminate bilaterally. The preponderance is ipsilateral to the site of the injection or the side of the greater endolaryngeal lesion. The role of the thyroid gland, submental, and the submandibular triangles has been discussed in the normal case. Keywords
