Superconductivity and Surrounding Phase of Organic Conductor, (DMET)2Au(CN)2

Abstract
Organic conductor, (DMET)2Au(CN)2, (DMET = dimethyl (ethylenedithio) diselenadithiafulvalene), based on a new donor, which is asymmetric, was found to undergo superconducting transition around 0.7 - 0.8 K under a pressure of 5 kbar. Below 2 kbar, metal-insulator transition was observed. Preliminary study by means of EPR and NMR on the possible low temperature insulating phase is presented.
