Femorotibial Vein Bypass

Abstract

Sixty-five patients underwent femorotibial saphenous vein bypass and were observed a minimum of 18 months. The primary indication for operation is "limb salvage" in patients otherwise facing amputation. In 54% of the patients, preservation of the extremity was accomplished. The operative mortality was 3%.
