DISSEMINATED LUPUS ERYTHEMATOSUS WITH SYDENHAM'S CHOREA AND RHEUMATIC HEART DISEASE: REPORT OF A CASE WITH AUTOPSY

Abstract
A case of Sydenham''s chorea, followed within 6 weeks by disseminated lupus erythematosus, is reported in a 17-yr.-old Negro girl. At autopsy, both rheumatic heart disease and disseminated lupus erythematosus were demonstrated. The simultaneous occurrence of both rheumatic fever and disseminated lupus and the close relationship of these diseases are briefly discussed.
