Abstract
Seven glaciated pavements of late Precambrian age in the Kimberley region of Western Australia are described. They are of special interest because of the rarity of glaciated pavements of comparable age in other parts of the world. The pavements provide further direct and unequivocal evidence of late Precambrian glaciation in northwestern Australia, and as a corollary, strengthen the case for a late Precambrian glaciation of probable global extent. Keywords
