Abstract
After touching briefly upon the physical chemistry of Hb-CO combination, the author reviews the effects of breathing CO; the mechanism of its action; the symptoms; the after-effects upon C. N. S., susceptibility to infection, cardio-vascular system, metabolism, respiration, chemistry of the blood, and reproductive functions; acclimatization; and treatment. Most of such expts. as are mentioned upon animals other than man have direct clinical bearing.
