The Mentor Connection

Abstract
As nursing leaders develop working relationships with each other and become more powerful in both their personal and work lives, they learn the value of a “mentor relationship”-of helping and being helped by each other. In this article the author discusses and illustrates this concept, focusing on its benefits and the actual experiences of nursing leaders. Readers will gain greater awareness of how mentor relationships can occur at all levels of a profession and will find specific suggestions for being a mentor and for getting one.
