CONGENITAL ABSENCE OF THE SPLEEN

Abstract
A case of congenital absence of the spleen accompanied by atrioventricularis communis, partial situs inversus, and other anomalies is presented. Similiar reported cases are discussed with emphasis on the frequency of the specific anomalies. It is suggested that an ante-mortem diagnosis of this syndrome can be made when the proper roentgenologic and hematologic evidence described is present.
