Abstract
The discovery is reported of the extraordinary technical results obtained in plant cells by using osmic acid in accordance with the well known Golgi apparatus methods of Kolatchev and Weigl. Osmic acid thus employed is capable of impregnating practically all components of plant cells either in rest or division. The impregnations are variable, but in a sufficient range of preparations from favorable material, all classes of cyto-plasmic formed bodies can be demonstrated. The cells thus far studied are from the meristem of root-tips of various angiosperms, particularly Vicia faba. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
