Flicker Noise in Germanium Rectifiers at Very Low- and Audio-Frequencies

Abstract

An investigation of the frequency dependence of flicker noise in point contact and diffusion‐alloy type germanium rectifiers is reported. The frequency range extends from approximately 10⁻³ to 10⁶ cy per sec and the inverse frequency law is found to hold over this range. The current dependence of the flicker noise at 10 cps is also reported.
