Abstract
Ehrlich ascites tumor cells were incubated intraperitoneally for various times between 2 dose fractions of either x-rays or fast neutrons given in vitro. This procedure resulted in an increase of the surviving fraction of the cells compared to cells which received the total dose in one single exposure. The rate of recovery appeared similar for the 2 radiations, and recovery was at its maximum after 5 to 7 hours of incubation in mice. No recovery was observed when the cells were incubated in hypothermic mice at a temperature of 0.5[degree] to 2[degree]C.Keywords
