Abstract
Concentrations of IgG, IgA, IgM, and IgE in serum, and IgG, IgA, and IgM in duodenal contents and feces, were determined by a single radial immunodiffusion method in 28 patients with strongyloidiasis. The most outstanding finding was elevated serum IgE levels in 14 patients, ranging from 810 to 14,600 units/ml with a mean value of 2,780 units/ml. Thus, strongyloidiasis can be added to the group of helminthic infections which stimulate IgE production.
