Image analysis and kinetics of aggregation

Abstract

In order to study the hydrodynamic shear rate and concentration effects on the kinetics of aggregation, we have performed experiments with a monolayer of macroscopic spheres floating on a fluid. We describe the experimental procedure and the image analysis method we used in order to obtain, in an automatic way, the statistical description of the aggregates and their evolution with time
