Abstract
Antitumor activity of carminomicin given orally was studied with respect to 3 strains of mouse transplantable tumors; i.e., 1 ascitic strain of NK/LY lymphoma and 2 solid strains of lymphosarcoma L10-1 and sarcoma 180. Carminomicin showed high antitumor activity against the above tumors on oral administration. In experiments with NK/LY lymphoma the efficiency of carminomicin was higher when given orally as compared to i.v. administration. Carminomicin had practically the same inhibitory effect on growth of lymphosarcoma L10-1 and sarcoma 180 on oral and i.v. administration in doses equivalent by their toxicity.
