Abstract
Four rabbits were given large doses of estrone benzoate subcutaneously and a tracer dose of 16-14C-estrone intravenously. Extraction of the urine with butanol yielded a major radioactive product which was identified as the 3-glucuronoside-17α-N-acetylglucosaminide of estradiol. This confirms the indications of previous work that the rabbit excretes 17α-estradiol as a double glycoside. (Endocrinology76: 600, 1965)
