Quark-gluon-plasma diagnostics: Measuring π/γratio with dileptons

Abstract
It is demonstrated that the /γ ratio can never be a definite signal of the quark-gluon plasma but may be a rather useful diagnostic of the plasma only if measured in combination with dileptons in the kinematic regime ≊2–4 GeV/c.
