Abstract
This method reproduces the right and left vocal cords separately and asymmetrically and with sharp outlines. It permits the demonstration of the vocal chords in their physiologically normal position at rest, with the patient breathing through the nose, and the mouth closed. There is no interference with the innervation of the pharynx, which may occur when the tongue is drawn forwards and the pharynx distended in laryngoscopy. A device for holding the film and displacing the larynx is described.
